The Context

Our client was at a critical juncture and had to make enterprise-wide business changes and cultural shifts to remain competitive in the marketplace and sustain business success. Despite many positive cultural aspects that needed to be preserved, they had to transform the business and behaviors. It was essential that they shift toward a more performance-driven, system-centric business model focused on individual empowerment. The executive and HR team conducted substantial work on the business model, values and behaviors. The executive team’s ability to demonstrate and reinforce this positive cultural change was critical to the success of the organization. The CEO asked Bravanti to support the leadership team through this significant business change and cultural transformation to ensure success.

Our Approach

Bravanti leveraged what had already been accomplished and supported the transformation process by conducting both individual and team effectiveness coaching.

  • The individual executive coaching engagements were focused on the leadership behaviors required to sustain this cultural change
  • Team effectiveness coaching concentrated on aligning around the vision and identifying any barriers that might prevent the execution of this transformation
  • The executive and HR team was encompassed in the team effectiveness coaching so that progress could be reviewed, and organizational constructs could be outlined and assessed. By including them in the process, gaps could be determined, and they could identify next steps to drive the transformation forward

The Results

Leadership alignment and employee engagement were attained. The leadership team shaped the vision and reinforced the desired behaviors. Employees were engaged throughout the process and enforced positive and sustainable change. More than half of the leaders reported that the coaching had a “medium” to “high” impact on their relationships with both peers and stakeholders. The majority of leaders thought that the process had increased the strength of the organization. By increasing trust and communication, safety within the organization dramatically improved.
